Adaptation Mainstreaming

Climate Change Adaptation & Mainstreaming

This course has been replaced by the 5-day ‘Adapting to Climate Change’ course, but may still be offered on request, given a sufficient number of participants.

Cost: £895 (discounts for early registration & if attending 2-day M&E course)

Duration: 3 days

Venue: Norwich, UK, at the Garama office or the University of East Anglia Campus

Frequency: On request (replaced by ‘Adapting to Climate Change’ course)

This course is aimed at anyone who needs to integrate or ‘mainstream’ climate change adaptation into their work, and is relevant to national and local government, multilateral institutions, NGOs, aid donors, those implementing development interventions, and private sector organisations whose operations and supply chains are potentially vulnerable to climate change. The course focuses on principles and processes of adaptation mainstreaming, but also includes more general background on climate change science and policy contexts, and key concepts in adaptation research and practice. Taught modules are blended with practical exercises, and real-world examples are used throughout the course. For more details on the course content, download this indicative programme. Select ‘Register for a course‘ from the above menu for more information on how to register, to download the registration form, and for other logistical information (accommodation, travel, etc.)
