This course is designed for anyone who needs to engage with adaptation at a high level in their work. This might include professionals tasked with integrating adaptation into their organisation’s operations, or people working on specific adaptation and resilience initiatives. The course runs over five days as an in-person course, or as 11 interactive webinars with five exercises, each of 60-90 minutes duration.
The course incorporates the content of our Adaptation Literacy course and extends this to provide a detailed treatment of climate risk assessment, adaptation decision-making, implementation and governance, and how we assess whether adaptation is working. Anyone who has taken the Adaptation Literacy course has the option of joining the Adapting to Climate Change course part-way through, once this content has been covered.
As with the Adaptation Literacy course, we run this course for organisations on demand, either as an off-the-shelf product or tailored to an organisation’s needs (see also build your own training). We also run it as an open course in which anyone can participate.
